Administrative Analyst Specialist

Enrollment Services


Salary Range: $3,288 - $6,162/Monthly


Work Schedule:Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.


Essential Job Functions: Under the general supervision of the Resource Manager, the incumbent will support the overall fiscal operations of Enrollment Services & Undergraduate Studies. The incumbent will coordinate the day to day fiscal and personnel activities of Enrollment Services & Undergraduate Studies. The duties include tracking, monitoring, and verifying budgets; preparing financial and budget reports regarding fiscal analysis and techniques; developing, implementing and maintaining analytical databases to track and reconcile data, creating tracking mechanisms and documenting archives. The incumbent supports the Resource Manager in enforcing policies and procedures and in creating recommendations to maximize resources and improve operations. The incumbent serves as the point of contact to department administrative coordinators seeking assistance with general personnel and payroll questions, reconciliation, and reaches out to other related campus departments to resolve problems, research discrepancies and acts to ensure that financial data is reconciled with campus records. The incumbent reviews all submitted financial and personnel documents for accuracy and completeness.



Required Qualifications and Experience: The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and three years of full time progressively responsible experience providing day to day administration of a program, and/or performing a variety of administrative and technical (analytical work related to operations and procedures) duties such as fiscal analysis and management, and program and policy research, development, implementation and evaluation. The incumbent must possess the following qualifications: highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills; excellent oral/written communication, listening, and interpretive skills. The incumbent must have the ability to monitor and report budgets; learn and interpret/apply a wide variety of complex policies and procedures; perform complex clerical work involving judgement, accuracy and speed; keep complex records and maintain files; analyze data and make accurate projections including handling multiple priorities; reschedule wok assignments based on shifting priorities; interact effectively with faculty, CSU administrators and staff; demonstrate a high level of proficient in the use of computer programs such as MS Office; train others on new skills and procedures while providing lead work direction; anticipate problems and address and resolve inquiries; and must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position. As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to complete an analytical assessment.


Desired Qualifications: Foundational knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and methods; general knowledge and skill with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions academic advising module and transfer credit rules.
