We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for a Food Program Processor. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Nutrition and Wellness division of our Subsidy department through the collection and processing of CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) documentation for assigned centers, as well as provide exemplary customer service to our families, field operations and state/federal agencies.

The primary goal of the CACFP subsidy programs is to help participating children develop the skills they need to be ready for school and acquire a passion for lifelong learning. The CACFP pays for nutritious meals and snacks for eligible children and who are enrolled in our KinderCare Learning centers and Champions before and after school sites. The CACFP plays a vital role in improving the quality of child care and making it more affordable for many low-income families. CACFP ensures that children receive a nutritious diet and promotes good nutrition habits early in life, so that they can grow healthy and strong and are prepared for school, ready to learn.

When you join our team as a Food Program Processor you will:

  • Collect and maintain all CACFP documentation and electronic mail receipt log for assigned center locations.
  • Audit/review all documentation for attendance, meals, family income information, and meal preparation documentation for accuracy and completeness. Notify field operations of discrepancies and/or missing items.
  • Use data to compile billing reports for monthly CACFP reimbursements.
  • Provide helpful support and communication assistance to centers via telephone and email.
  • Enter all findings in appropriate spreadsheets and forms, both paper and electronic.
  • Compile claim and projection spreadsheet to calculate projected reimbursement.
  • Submit claim to appropriate state agency timely and accurately, according to state guidelines.
  • Receive reimbursement payment and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Maintain monthly files by center, including all required documentation, in a neat, organized manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company records and information.
  • Attend state-sponsored training as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong data entry proficiency preferred
  • Proficiency in PC skills/knowledge covering general office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities
