Unit Description

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 3, Food a low income housing facility with 350 independent living residents located in Silver Spring, Maryland. This position will oversee daily operations of all resident dining, 350 resident meal plan for one meal daily (lunch or dinner).  The General Manager for this community will manage 2 managers with total hourly staff of approximately 30 FT and PT Sodexo employees.

Are you the experienced food service manager were seeking?

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations (dining room service)
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate:

  • has 3 or more years previous food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment;
  • has strong leadership skills and strong financial acumen;
  • has a culinary background and is knowledgeable in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has knowledge of kosher dining is a plus;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
