**Location: New York, NY**

Our Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research.

Global Corporate & Investment Banking focuses on building long-term relationships with more than 5,000 large U.S. and multinational corporations, financial institutions and financial sponsors. We provide strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful mergers and acquisitions, corporate banking, treasury, debt and equity underwriting to deliver integrated financial solutions.

**Position Overview:**

The Human Resources Consultant is responsible for working with HR Generalists to help develop and implement HR strategies that support the overarching Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) business strategy and goals. As a global business, GCIB requires an integrated global HR model, and client initiatives and HR partnership may be international in scope. The HR Consultant works with the HR Generalists and specialist partners to develop and execute tactical plans to achieve strategic objectives, utilizing core HR skills (staffing, compensation, talent management and employee relations) to achieve these goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The HR Consultant will work with HR Generalists to provide support for the Global Capital Markets (GCM) and Global Corporate Banking (CBK) organizations as well as with the broader GCIB HR team and must be a demonstrated self-starter with an excellent track record of success in his/her current environment. The HR Consultant must also be a strong, decisive, results-oriented professional who can develop and manage relationships across the businesses with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. As a key member of GCIB HR team, the HR Consultant will:

+ Partner with broader HR team to successfully execute, and in some cases act as project lead, to deliver HR initiatives across the broad spectrum of HR activities including Leadership Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation and Diversity & Inclusion.

+ With the guidance of the Human Resources Managers/Executive also provide HR generalist coverage for some teams within the GCM/CBK organization.

+ Provide analytical and project support to the Human Resources Generalists overseeing the broader GCIB organization.

+ Prioritize tasks and manage multiple ad-hoc projects in all dimensions of this function.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education:**

To be minimally qualified for this role, a candidate must have:

+ 5+ years of HR experience in a variety of HR disciplines.

+ Experience in client management model, partnering with teammates and integrating the tools and processes required to meet the needs of the business.

+ Experience managing in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing, and highly complex environment.

+ Complex problem resolution skills and strong attention to detail.

+ A strong team-player work ethic with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

+ Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).

+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple unrelated tasks/stakeholders; strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed

+ Strong analytical skills experience gathering, organizing, analyzing and presenting data.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills and integrity.

+ Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with discretion and balance risk and reward with a strong focus on compliance.

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Proficiency with MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Strong Excel skills

**Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education:**

+ Proficiency with HR systems.

+ Experience within the financial services industry is highly preferred

+ Masters Degree in HR Management or a related field.
