The Global Office Capital Project Lead will be a senior role within the Mars Real Estate and Facilities Management ("REFM") organization, reporting to the Global Head of Real Estate, responsible for developing a center of excellence for the construction and delivery of superior office workplaces for Mars and leading the continued development and implementation of the Mars Global Office Guidelines.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree required and 10+ years in corporate or commercial real estate with specific experience in areas of workplace, including Workplace Experience, Workplace Strategy, Project Management and Change Management.
  • 5+ years managing small teams and independent contributors in a large organization.
  • 5+ years of global experience delivering workplace initiatives and construction projects.
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of flexible work, future of work, and employee experience; advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to assess organizational and employee needs, evaluate feedback and translate those into actionable recommendations to improve the work environment.
  • Experience in highly decentralized decision-making environments; experience achieving objectives through others; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to orchestrate systemic change - initiate, support, and manage change within the organization, taking steps to remove barriers or to accelerate its pace.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the development of a global center of excellence for office workplace design and construction, ensuring best practices, cost governance and strategic alignment in the delivery of office construction projects.
  • Using a program management and playbook approach to office design and construction, elevate the performance of our service partners (architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, furniture manufacturers) in the development of the global center of excellence.
  • Advise the enterprise and business lines on global workplace trends, regional differences, and activities in markets as it relates to space, architectural, construction, and design trends, metrics for staffing, management of facilities, and day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with the broader REFM team to develop portfolio and site-level strategies, review floorplans and layouts, focusing on clear and measurable goals (short and long term) around the future state of Mars' workplace.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to Mars' facilities management organization to implement best practices in the seamless delivery of office workplace services.
