Job Description

The primary function of this role is to be the functional and technical expert for the global enterprise platform for product information management that services marketing, sales and ecommerce business functions. This role is the primary SME through the Software development and release cycle for the product. The domain lead provides leadership, and collaborates with regional BAs, technical team members as well as cross functional IT departments to define, design, develop and continuously improve solutions that are best in class while maintaining the integrity of the global solution. This role partners with other key roles and stakeholders in the organization to enable business and technical strategies.

Organizational Relationships/Scope:

Role will report to a Manager in IT Engineering & Applications. This role will interact in a global organization and will have global and local responsibilities across regions. While not having direct reporting from an HR perspective, the incumbent must perform as an operational lead for the PIM team to deliver world class scalable solutions

Key Interfaces:

Sector, country, operations, and service organizations of KC globally, regional business and IT leaders, Cross functional IT department members, Global Process Owners, consultants and third-party providers, Implementation vendor partners.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert for the product Information management platform
  • Lead the analysis, development, implementation and support to deliver Data Governance for all countries in the appropriate market facing or enterprise manner. Effectively organizing and utilizing department and business resources and managing initiatives in alignment with cost guidelines and Corporate Financial Instructions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to detail requirements, develop detailed BRDs/decompose user stories and define solutions
  • Integrate / translate business process requirements with technical implementation of PIM solution
  • Lead and drive product demos and training and user acceptance testing workshops
  • Review and approve functional design, configuration design and solutions
  • Leading the Sprint Planning and Release planning activities with the development team
  • Participating in Business Workshops and actively engage with the Process SMEs / business users by participating in business process discussions
  • Develop, map and refine data models for complex product lines.
  • Own and maintain product dictionary, attributes and categorization structures critical to product definition
  • Lead and manage taxonomy, search schemas and taxonomy refinement.
  • Make independent decisions that affect the function and performance for Company-wide shared system as well as troubleshoot issues that arise.
  • Assist in the implementation of PIM solution working with internal and external partners.
  • Lead the day-to-day administration of PIM solution - including design and setup of new portal screens, new workflows and integrations.
  • Help design processes to manage the input, review and maintenance of the system's master data objects. Own the accuracy of all digital product data.
  • Coordinate with tool vendor for incorporating new solutions for KC business usage
  • Maintain and support the global enterprise ePIM solution, related processes and procedures to comply with the Enterprise Product information Data Governance , security and compliance
  • Participate in business meetings to understand key business challenges around Product data and propose functional solutions / process changes / automation etc to overcome the challenges
  • identify where potential issues may arise so they may be addressed in a proactive manner and to follow through on day-to-day operational functions
  • The incumbent will be expected to lead multiple simultaneous initiatives with highly skilled teams; may manage sub-domain leads; will coordinate the ongoing development of global IT plans, projects, and processes; maintain active working relationships with business unit leaders to ensure a high degree of alignment of IT resources to business strategy.
  • Contributes to the evaluation and selection of software product standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Masters preferred) preferably with a background in Computer Science or engineering
    8+ years relevant experience in a product data management
  • 3+ years of experience and in-depth expertise in the functional and technical capabilities of Stibo STEP is a must
  • 3+ years Global Team experience, with a Demonstrated track record of success in delivering PIM solutions and in leading global implementations of PIM systems
  • Expertise in Product information Management tools, Product hierarchies, processes, architecture and data quality is essential
  • Experience in MDM/Content Management System implementations globally
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience in data modeling and data relationships concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in developing designs and solutions that maintain global standards, while allowing for localization without compromising solution integrity.
  • Experience establishing Governance and controls
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rational experimentation
  • Previous hands-on experience with PIM configuration, development, testing, automation, scripting, workflow design and implementation and understanding of basic Infrastructure and security concepts
  • Working knowledge of Solution architecture, data architecture industry trends
  • Prior experience in SAP product information and eCommerce platforms would be a differentiator
  • Prior experience in Data Quality assessment, process, governance and reporting
