The Basics:

As a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator, you will report to the GSOC Manager and will be part of a team of highly skilled GSOC Operators who are responsible for assisting Tanium employees with all concerns related to safety and security issues globally. You will use a variety of tools from access control and alarm monitoring, to open source and social media monitoring, as well as in-house tools to detect, analyze, and alert others of incidents which may impact Tanium interests domestically and abroad. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced security professional that is proactive, motivated, customer service oriented, and who can work as a member of a team to provide safety and security for all Tanium employees, visitors, and assets.

What youll do:

  • Incorporate Tanium Mission and Values into all decisions and actions.
  • Responsible for making real-time operational decisions that affect the safety and security of the company.
  • Manage badge access administration for employees, vendors, and contractors at all global locations.
  • Monitor electronic protection systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and intercom systems for situational awareness to detect potential threats for all domestic and international office locations as well as critical sites.
  • Monitor, analyze, and assess security operations, risks and potential impact to provide up-to-date and relevant information related to the protection of Tanium employees and assets.
  • Identify, track and monitor emerging geopolitical, terrorism, health and other related safety and security risks and trends.
  • Rapidly develop clear, concise assessments of potential security incidents and draft incident briefs and communications throughout incident lifecycles.
  • Perform dispatch duties in support of Taniums Corporate Security and other teams.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with other Global Security team members and Tanium employees.
  • Communicate GSOC specific training needs, ideas, scenarios, and trainee feedback to the Corporate Security Team Lead and the Training and Compliance Manager.
  • Monitor and update travel tracking tools as well as location specific safety and security issues.
  • Uses good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Investigative and inquisitive mindset with the desire to help build the team through constructive criticism, feedback, and suggestions.
  • Actively participate in required training.
  • Ready and able upon request to support other teams within the Global Security mission to help safeguard Taniums people, assets, and reputation.
  • Must be willing and able to adapt responsibilities with the evolving needs of the business to support other teams within the Global Security mission to help safeguard Taniums people, assets, and reputation.
  • Works with, and occasionally oversees contract guard personnel on shift.

Were looking for someone with the following qualifications:
  • Education
    • BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience:
    • Government, Military, Law Enforcement, and/or 5+ years in a security role required.
    • Specialty training or experience in Executive Protection, Corporate Security, Residential security, or Event security required.
    • Prior experience in a security operations center, role with dispatch responsibilities, or similar, highly preferred.
    • G Suite & Microsoft Office Proficiency
    • Extensive experience with access control and visitor management systems such as Lenel, S2, or similar.
    • Advanced Medical Training - TECC, EMT, or Paramedic
  • National and State Licenses:
    • Current CA BSIS Guard Card required.
    • Valid State drivers license required.
    • Valid National CPR/First Aid/AED card required.
  • Other:
    • Demonstrates ownership, takes initiative, and conducts work with a sense of urgency.
    • Completes assigned tasks and trainings by deadlines.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Team player.
    • Person of high ethics and integrity.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Authorized to work in the U.S.
