Internship Program Overview:



Our 3 month paid internships are designed to provide each student with a complete professional work experience and to give the student exposure to the Georgia Pacifics Professional division within Marketing and Sales. Our interns provide support to sales, category management and customer contact centers. The successful candidate will be placed in one of the following areas of concentration: Category Management, End-User Interaction or Sales Administration. In each area the focus is on providing a working knowledge of the entire product/sales cycle and will include exposure to sales, plant and corporate environments. This summer internship will be completed in Green Bay, WI.





Job Responsibilities:



  • Leads interaction with Distributor Contacts (Buyer, Sales, Accounts payable, merchandising etc.) and End Users to handle customer business questions, issues and daily business functions in place of field sales.

  • Coaches and mentors Distributor Customer, Distributor Rep, GP Rep and End-Using customers.

  • Provides direction to field sales on ways to improve, maintain and communicate policies and procedures to ensure a consistently high level of service to distribution and field sales.

  • Proactively identify, plan and execute initiatives with key customers that improve our value offering.

  • Leads and participates in process improvement on an ongoing basis with a focus on the continued improvement of service and business processes.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Pursuing Bachelors Degree in business or related field

  • Current Sophomore or Junior status

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident

  • Ability and desire to follow detailed safety precautions



Preferred Qualifications:





  • Leadership experience in athletic programs, student government, community service, or other organizations

  • Prior exposure to problem solving, project management, negotiations, or conflict resolution

  • Experience working on teams

  • Experience presenting at conferences, organizational meetings or other professional settings
