About the Role:

As the Head of Acquisition, Origination and Onboarding Technology you will have the responsibility of managing all key technology projects for supporting the overall acquisition, origination and onboarding strategies of the bank. Your team will own the evolution and operations of the systems supporting new client acquisition, customer relationship management (CRM), originations and client/credit onboarding at the bank, in alignment with their product vision and strategy. You will be responsible for leading a team of technologists and domain experts to own the design, engineering and delivery of all major technology initiatives within these domains and address any ongoing operational concerns after delivery.

Once Here You Will:

  • Lead the engineering team for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the systems utilized by the bank's client acquisition, originations and onboarding processes
  • Lead the transformation of these platforms to align with business goals around growth, customer experience, and compliance
  • Work with business stakeholders to prioritize technology initiatives and develop cross-platform impact plans
  • Envision and champion strategic technology initiatives for consolidation of platforms, centralizing operations, modernization and augmenting customer experience capabilities
  • Collaborate with teams distributed across functional areas and geographic locations to ensure successful delivery
  • Foster robust engineering practices and lead high-functioning engineering teams
  • Envision and deliver operational processes and technologies necessary to improve reliability of core systems
  • Implement best practice continuous improvement processes that prioritize incident analysis and remediation, with a constant emphasis on automation and prevention
  • Investigate feasibility of emerging technologies to enhance customer experience and determine cost, benefit and applicability
  • Leverage effective vendor management with a focus on a higher level of vendor engagement, vendor relationship building and ultimately enhanced vendor performance

  • Attract, select and mentor highly competent technology talent for both project delivery and on-going support

    What You'll Bring:

  • Passion for achieving excellence in delivery, solving complex problems, and taking ownership
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and multiple team leads
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 10 years of experience with software development
  • 5 years of experience in direct people management
  • 10 years of industry experience (corporate/commercial banking, payments, and/or e-commerce at a leading global bank or payment firm, technology vendor, industry analyst firm, or management consultancy) with a focus on loan/credit originations
  • 5 years direct knowledge and experience with customer onboarding processes and technology solutions
  • Familiarity with key global trends in commercial banking customer relations
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end onboarding and originations systems such as nCino
  • Deep knowledge of CRM technology solutions (Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
  • Experience managing key vendor and strategic partner relationships
  • Ability to actively influence customers and business partners to solve problems and ensures products and services are utilized effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to provide strategic solutions tailored to meet business objectives
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with onshore - offshore distributed Agile teams
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills
