The Field Market Representative (FMR) will provide support for both consumers and customers, including (but not limited to) marketing, promotional, and sales support for HOKA ONE ONE in assigned territory. The FMR is responsible for engaging consumers at events, activations, and expos, along with training retail staff and providing marketing support throughout the territory.

The Field Market Representative (FMR) is an integral part of growing brand awareness and stimulating end-consumers to try the products on either in-store or at events. They are responsible for presenting themselves and the brand in the highest possible regard at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Aligning with regional strategy and brand goal directives from leadership
  • Daily activity for specific retailers and consumers with (report) documentation
  • Weekly recaps and reports
  • Monthly reports
  • Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, sales representatives, and retail store sales staff
  • Interact with retail sales staff, generating excitement, teaching them about the brands, products, sales techniques, and answering questions. Working with stores to showcase the brands in a positive manner. Communicating any inventory questions or concerns to appropriate sales representatives. Soliciting sales to consumers on stores sales floors and at expos.
  • Planning effective schedule for the week, in conjunction with sales reps in territory and office personnel. Follow up on commitments made (request promotional materials, POP, etc.). Reporting and conference call participation with rest of FMR team and management.
  • Working at consumer events (race expos, etc.) to demonstrate products, build consumer awareness, and stimulate try on and sales.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and communications. This can be done while at the retail stores, reading trade and consumer magazines, or through personal running.
  • Interact with retail sales staff, generating excitement, teaching them about the brands, products, sales techniques, and answering questions. Working with stores to showcase the brands in a positive manner. Communicating any inventory questions or concerns to appropriate sales representatives. Soliciting sales to consumers on stores sales floors and at expos.
  • Identify opportunities with (new) consumer groups in the field. Strategize with FMR AM, align with regional strategy, brand goal directives, and successful execution.
  • Planning effective schedule for the week, in conjunction with sales reps in territory and office personnel. Follow up on commitments made (request promotional materials, POP, etc.). Reporting and conference call participation with rest of FMR team and management.
  • Working at consumer events (race expos, etc.) to demonstrate products, build consumer awareness, and stimulate try on and sales.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and communications. This can be done while at the retail stores, reading trade and consumer magazines, or through personal running.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree (preferred)
  • Experience working at events
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong record of follow through
  • One on one service, fitting, and selling of technical running footwear
  • Ability to prioritize work flow
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, and be proactive
  • Familiarity with all products offered by HOKA ONE ONE
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, especially Outlook
  • Effectively prepare and present information and communicate to client groups
