KEY OBJECTIVE: Provide a high level of HR service and support to Agriculture

management and employees in the U.S.


Provide a high level of service to both internal
and external customers (managers, employees, applicants, etc.) Respond to and assist in resolving basic HR related
issues and questions on benefits, programs, payroll and policies.

Facilitate the entire employee on-boarding process
from start to finish using our recruiting system, Taleo and our HR system,
PeopleSoft HR. This would include collaboration with the hiring manager, posting
the job requisition, creating and submitting the offer, setting up the
background check and drug testing, communicating with the hiring manager as
well as the candidate on their status. Once hired, establish an employee record in PeopleSoft HR system and
collect appropriate employment paperwork for compliance reasons.

Collaborate on all Workers Compensation claims
by working closely with the vendor and the employee.

Provide guidance on FMLA/STD, work closely with
the vendor, employee and manager regarding the status and track and monitor the
leaves of absence.

Provide guidance to management on HR related issues and
recommends appropriate actions based upon business needs and strategies in
consultation with the HR Mangger and in consultation and collaboration with Chubb
Employee Relations.

Maintain all HR recordkeeping systems accurately
and adhere to time sensitive schedules for PeopleSoft HR and Taleo. Types of
transactions include employment status changes, new hire entry, transfers,
terminations, retirements, etc.

Coordinate the planning, implementation and the delivery
of various company sponsored programs, e.g., Wellness events including the
annual Biometric Screenings, United Way Campaign, Flu Shot Program, City of
Hope, Global Day of Service and Wellness in general.

Coordinate and communicate timely with local
managers on the company Service Anniversary Program.

  • Maintain confidentiality and a positive, flexible
    approach to service.
  • Act as backup to Agriculture HR Manager.
  • Manage the
    off-site storage of employee records.


  • This position reports to the HR
    Manager in the Agriculture Division and provides support to senior
    management as well as to multiple business and functional units within the


College Degree in Human Resources or related

2 to 3 years of Human Resources experience.

Professional presence and effective
collaboration skills; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

High level of multitasking skills and the
ability to perform and deliver under pressure.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Micro Office Suite, e.g., Excel,
Word and Power Point.

Keen attention to details.

Flexibility and adaptable to change

Ability to work autonomously.
