Orrick currently has an opening for a HR Systems Manager. This position will be located preferably at the Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV. We will consider all our Orrick U.S. Office locations.

The HR Systems Manager, working with the Senior Application Manager, leads a team of HRIS professionals. The incumbent should have familiarity working within or closely with a Human Resources department. You will have working functional and technical knowledge of the PeopleSoft platform, enabling them to appropriately navigate within the application, perform basic tasks, and engage with the team and colleagues to make informed procedural and system-related decisions.


This role has overall responsibility for the management and oversight of the Firm's HR related systems. You will have responsibility for driving HR systems project implementation, project prioritization, and providing input into Orrick's overall Human Resources Systems architecture strategy and planning.

• You will be responsible for linking technology improvements and HR process improvements in areas such as Global Compensation and Payroll, Global Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Strategic Workforce Planning, Global Employee and Manager Self Service and Employee Performance Management.
• You will partner with the HR leadership teams and leaders throughout the firm to support Orrick's growth, key objectives and high customer service standards.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Basic working functional and technical knowledge of the PeopleSoft platform required.
• 5 plus years of focused PeopleSoft functional and/or technical experience preferred.
• 5 plus years of personnel management experience preferred.
• 10 plus years of dynamic HR, Business and/or IT experience required.
• 5 plus years of experience in a multi-site environment with international offices preferred.,br> • 5 plus years of forward-thinking business experience; handling technology budgets and vendor relationships preferred.
• 5 plus years demonstrated success in HRIS software upgrades, configuration and HR process improvement preferred.
• Confirmed project management skills in large scale enterprise technical deployments.
• Very strong customer service orientation required.
• Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Deep understanding of information processing principles and practices required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Working technical knowledge of database principles required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent listening, social and collaborative skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. • Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Technical and/or business/project management certifications a plus.
