The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.

We are recruiting for a human resources professional to join our Central Office team in Columbus, Ohio! Duties include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate and perform recruitment duties: create job postings, screen applications for minimum and preferred qualifications, develop interview questions in conjunction with hiring managers, and/or coordinate with subject matter experts and other human resources staff to develop selection assessments, schedule and facilitate interviews in our central office locations, as well as in the state correctional institutions, conduct background checks on selected applicants, confirm all pre-hire approvals are in place, prepare and submit personnel actions (ePar), communicate with all candidates regarding status of their application.

Assist with the performance evaluation process (ePerformance): review and verify all components of the evaluation, assist with coordination and presentation of manager training, review reports for timeliness.

Perform related administrative duties: assemble files for orientation, complete all personnel filing, coordinate employee recognition events/awards.

Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.

-Or 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
