Serving three primary markets passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.





Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day human resources operations for 275 employees, which includes but is not limited to:





  • Coordinate talent acquisition and talent management activities for hourly personnel (temporary services and direct hire personnel) for the pre-employment and on-boarding process.

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of time and attendance records for all employees, including accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.

  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing various activities (including fundraising) while working together with the Employee Social Committee

  • Update various spreadsheets of information to support the HR and Operations departments

  • Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and suggest ideas for improvement and increased efficiency

  • Plan, organize and coordinate various projects, programs and committees related to employee relations, safety, internal communications, etc.

  • Support HR and local leadership in action planning related to employee engagement.

  • Maintain employee personnel records.

  • Maintain employee bulletin boards

  • Ensure forms and documents are available for employees

  • Process various employment actions in accordance with internal procedures.

  • Respond to day-to-day HR employee inquiries and request.

  • Build strong relationships with operations team, Union representatives and other business partners to deliver business objectives and resolve issues.

  • Foster an effective, inclusive work environment, effectively balancing employee advocacy with conservancy of company goals and values.

  • Ensure and enforce compliance with all applicable employment laws, company policies and collective bargaining agreement terms.

  • Prepare reports as assigned.

  • Perform other job related tasks as assigned.
