The primary responsibility of this position is to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives through full utilization of the human resource programs and processes. In this role, you will work closely with the senior management team in the U.S. and also a regional and global HR team. This position takes full responsibility for developing andimplementing aregional human resources strategy aligned to support the Heraeus Quartz America businesses located inBuford, GA; Wilmington, NC, and Tempe, AZ. Providingguidance on the organizational structure, setup, performance requirements, employee placement and desired culture to achieve the business strategy is a key requirement for this position.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Consult with and support senior leadership team with organizational change initiatives and talent management.

  • Champion change management plans affecting the organizational structure, reorganization and setup.

  • Be the Talent Manager for regional business focusing on attraction, selection, placement, retention, development and enrichment, succession, compensationand assessment strategies including leading activities such as People Days, Internship Programs, and Essentials of Leadership programs across multiple locations. Actively participate in interview process as required.

  • Provide Human Resources guidance and execution of group-wide HR strategy in the business including the assurance that global and regional HR tools and processes are integrated into the business.

  • Manage the human resources function for the HQA businesses by maintaining, reporting and monitoring of workforce plan and managingthe temporary agency vendors and requirements.Manage and develop direct reports within the HR department through empowerment, growth opportunities and motivation. Ensuring the HR needs of the business are reached.

  • Participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations issues, anticipates problems whenever possible, and develops, recommends, and initiates appropriate steps for resolution.

What Is Required For This Role

Successful experience leading change management initiatives across multiple sites, preferably within a global manufacturing work environment. Experience in reorganization and organizational setup aligned with business strategy. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with a minimum of 10years of experience in Human Resources and 5 years in a management level position in Human Resources. A Masters Degree is preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

  • Thorough understanding of Federal and State employment laws including ADA, FMLA, OSHA and Workers Compensation.

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, influence, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation (self starter) and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, proven experience in driving change initiatives and execution of programs.

  • Must be assertive.
