Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter

The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter performs human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, recruiting, training, employment, and affirmative action and employment equity programs.

This candidates teams with management to provide coaching and engagement with employees.

Job Responsibilities

  1. HR Business Partner:
    • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.

    • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.

    • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaint and refers complaint to management.

    • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.

    • Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the managers and employees.

    • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.

  2. Recruiting:
    • Review applications to match qualifications and experience with specific job-related requirements.

    • Scheduled interview and attend interview with the hiring managers for entry-level, professional and sales job opening.

    • Discuss with hiring manager and provide insight about candidates profile, market information.

    • Perform follow up calls with employees on start date, 1-2 weeks after start.

    • Request background checks and drug screens upon offer acceptance, as needed.

    • Prepare new hire paperwork including completing new-hire checklist, as needed.

    • Schedule and conducts new hire orientation and onboarding, as needed.

  3. Training/Communication with managers and employees:
    • Provide trainings to employee and manager regarding to new policies and procedures.

    • Teams with Management to create and deliver monthly listening meetings

    • Bilingual Translation preferred

    • Attend monthly financial meetings with the local managers.


  1. Good understanding about Human Resources Management.

  3. Strong business acumen and ability to understand a complex organization, their essential business goals and priorities, and translate that into HR strategies and programs, in conjunction with corporate programs.

  4. Ethical Conduct.

  5. Ability to connect and work effectively with different types of people; Good influencing and communication skill.

  6. Excellent team work.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma required and Bachelors degree preferred.

  • 2 years equivalent experience in different HR roles including recruitment and generalist may be substituted for Bachelors degree.

  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations preferred.

Other Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate must have excellent data entry skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, ability to use standard office equipment, good communication skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information required.

  • Excellent customer service and internal stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Effectively connect and influence with employees and managers.

  • Ability to speak Spanish helpful, but not necessary.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.

  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.

  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers compensation, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

  • Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations.

  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.

  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software is a plus.


50% travel to various worksites and or recruiting locations is required. A valid drivers license is required for this position.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. The working hours are flexible and employees might require to work late evenings or weekend depends on the business needs.
