Job Description :

The software architect will be responsible for the technical designs of key functional and platform requirements. The successful candidate will be an adaptable person, with a strong technical background, a passion for technology and excellent communication skills qualifications and be abreast of ongoing and upcoming technology trends.

Responsibilities :

  • Architecture and detailed technical design of key/complex functional requirements
  • Design and architecture of enhancements to our technology platform and development frameworks
  • Determines how existing cloud services, applications, systems, databases, and interfaces can integrate to meet new and emerging enterprise initiatives.
  • Work with Performance test team to analyze / troubleshoot the performance issues and come up with a performance engineering plan
  • Identification and evaluation of promising new technologies 
  • Prototyping and initial implementation of particularly complex items
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure functional requirements are technically achievable
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements; for example, with regards to scalability, performance and security
  • Work with development team leaders to validate task breakdown and estimation of complex functionality
  • Work with development team to ensure implementation follows the technical architecture
  • Work closely with the production team to assist with rollout of product releases and resolution of customer issues
  • Assist with the mentoring and training of other technical staff
  • Management of own tasks and progress
  • Ensure all work conforms to our software development process, procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to the evolution of our software development process, procedures and best practices
  • This will involve interaction with members of the R&D team based in India and the UK, as well as other business units around the world.

Requirements :

  • Overall 15+years of proven experience in building complex business solutions, experience in HR/payroll a bonus
  • Excellent OO skills and a solid understanding of OO concepts, and design patterns
  • Solid understanding of core computer science topics such as algorithms, data structures and computational complexity
  • Demonstrates programming aptitude and ability for logical and abstract thinking
  • Expert knowledge of C#, ASP.net and Microsoft .NET framework
  • Thorough knowledge of Power shell script, JavaScript, CSS and Web Standards
  • Strong knowledge in design, Development and deployment
  • Passion towards learning and leveraging new technologies
  • Technical knowledge of at least one major RDBMS, preferably SQL Server
  • Technical knowledge of at least one major noSQL database
  • Able to manage, and justify, the various trade-offs in simplicity vs. flexibility in design
  • Manage the product backlog. Turn features into stories & maintain the engineering work pipeline
  • Work cross-functional in an Agile environment 
  • Capable of researching and diving into the unknown on your own as well as working through and discussing solutions with team members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to follow leadership's vision given multiple viable paths when faced with technical challenges
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner
  • Self-starter, can take direction and execute it effectively with a "can do" attitude
  • Capable of simultaneously working across multiple projects, managing priorities based on business needs and project schedules
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching and problem-solving skills & Customer focus.
