LEAD Generation Intern (Summer 2019)-- Position Available in Tampa, Florida

Are you looking for an opportunity to turn your determination and your engaging personality into a rewarding career with an industry-leading tech company? Due to our continued growth, we are seeking ambitious and energetic Lead Generation Intern to assist us in further developing our business.

In this entry level, high-tech sales role, you will generate qualified leads for our Americas Sales team via cold calling and account research as well as pursue limited sales opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for you to get in on the ground floor and learn about all facets of our company. Although we are a large company, we retain the tight-knit and communicative culture of a start-up. As a Lead Generation Intern, you will play an essential role in meeting Equinixs aggressive growth expectations as you generate new business opportunities to fuel the development of our Americas pipeline.

    Responsibilities

    • Researching accounts, identifying key players, generating interest, and developing accounts to stimulate business development
    • Scheduling discovery calls with qualified customers
    • Following up on campaigns and providing detailed feedback on the success of each campaign to our Sales Management Team and Marketing Managers
    • Maintaining a call volume of 75-150 calls per day with the intent to qualify leads and create pipeline growth

    Projects

    • 8 Week department rotation program with a project presentation
    • Ability to conduct high-level prospect research for Target Accounts
    • Report weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative

    Qualifications

    • Rising Seniors only- Graduating date between December 2019 and May 2020
    • Experience defining process and procedures for calling, reporting, training and metrics
    • Self-Accountability and ability to always think ahead
