Investment Advisory, a department of our Client Strategies Group division, is responsible for delivering a world-class advisory platform that integrates the firm's advice and guidance and an ideal client experience. Today, Edward Jones offers two major advisory programs,consisting of2 million accounts and over $270 billion in assets under care. The firm's investment advisory platform will continue to evolve over the next few years in order to meet the changing needs for our investors and clients.

The Investment Advisory department is made up of several teams and Program Development is one of them. Within the Program Development group there are three teams,including Client & BranchToolswhich is responsible for optimizing the delivery of our investment advisory programs through developing and enhancing branch team and client facing tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with advisory leadership to proactively identify potential system and workflow changes to further the evolution of our advisory platform. This includes prioritizing, designing and implementing solutions for the firm's Mutual Fund Advisory, FA as Advisor, UMA/SMA programs.
  • Enhance systems, tools and workflows to enhance the client and branch experience with advisory programs.
  • Effectively serve as a business project leader and advisory subject matter expert for projects and enhancements made to current advisory programs and the development of new programs. This can include developing program plans, proactive communication across multiple divisions, facilitating meetings, drafting requirements, assisting with IS development, testing and successful implementation.
  • Offer ongoing support, defect management, and enhancement prioritization for systems and tools that support our advisory programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of key system controls to keep the firm compliant with internal policies and changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Assist with writing requirements and test scripts, testing, and implementation of new programs/processes as needed.
  • Serve as on-call support to manage the firm's advisory systems and handle outages/issues as needed.
  • Mentor and train other associate on the team as needed.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire.
  • 5-7+years industry experience required. Ideal candidates will have a background in advisory programs and project management.
  • Ability to understand complex topics regarding the firm's advisory programs, tools and systems.
  • Strong understanding of client and branch perspective and needs associated with advisory programs.
  • Ability to effectively work with and across multiple divisions.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to simplify technical changes and put it into the context of client and branch needs.
  • Solid organizational, time management and program management skills to be able to meet deadlines.
  • Highly detail-oriented to ensure accurate information on requirements, testing and implementations.
  • Proficient at creating spreadsheets, analyzing reports, and developing project measures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degrees (i.e. MBA) and financial designations (i.e. CFP) preferred.
  • Experience building and/or enhancing investment advisory systems
