Are you a strategic IT leader with a passion for designing, implementing and managing large-scale, transactional, ecommerce applications and platforms?

Online transaction and deploying digital tools to make it easy for doing business with Regal is at the heart of a robust digital customer experience (DCX). Regal Beloit is seeking a highly motivated, innovative Senior Director of eCommerceto provide technical and strategic leadership that aligns with Regal's eCommerce and website strategy and solutions for the customer base primarily the distribution channel. Scaling out our websites as well as repeatable business operations is dependent on delivering best in class and engaging customer experience. The Senior Director of eCommerce will own the digital eCommerce solutions and tools and will work closely with the other IT teams supporting the ERP, engineering systems, business applications and Product Information Management. This role will oversee and manage the system architecture, configurations and solutions development. This role will work closely with the business digital and digital marketing teams. In this role it will be imperative for the individual to build positive working relationships with other teams, internal stakeholders, customer contacts and leverage these relationships to grow Regal's digital presence.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a coherent, scalable, and evolving strategy for a highly-scalable, efficient eCommerce operations in a fast-changing environment. Lead and manage the development, architecture, product vision and technology platform roadmap for eCommerce and websites
  • Closely liaison with organization's digital marketing and business teams for developing and working on plans to increase customer adoption and retention to provide IT solutions and support to maximizing website traffic, SEO, conversion, and retention
  • Manage the activities of the IT eCommerce and website development teams. Have dotted line management responsibilities for teams located offshore and serve as an escalation point. Assist in prioritization of activities and projects within team.
  • Drive continuous improvement. Recommend and lead implementation for improvements to applications, technology and upgrades
  • Define and lead system configurations, technical solutions and processes to have accurate and completeness of data
  • Lead and manage the inbound and outbound systems and applications integrations across ERP, engineering systems, Product Information Platforms and other key applications
  • Lead the stability and governance of eCommerce environment. Lead the team managing CI/ CD and devops tools and processes
  • Ensure the team has robust processes and tools for meeting high level of coding standard and practices
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams for developing application standards ensuring security compliance and processes.
  • Collaborate with Application Performance Monitoring teams to develop tools and dashboards to automate performance monitoring, testing, analyzing, and reporting issues.
  • Provide inputs by continuously benchmarking Regal digital tools amongst competitors and peers for best practices and innovation opportunities. Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving digital commerce business and operating models.
  • Work closely with business units across the organization to prioritize customer and business requests and develop a roadmap for eCommerce enhancements. Lead the digital eCommerce services organization's successful delivery of these business outcomes
  • Support the day-to-day operations by triaging issues, validating data, and communicating to stakeholders. Define SLAs for requests/ types, oversee communications between IT team and business / customer. Ensure high standards are being met.
  • Manage concurrent projects. Guide timely project completion, optimum resource utilization and achievement of end-user expectations.
  • Identify the organizational impact on skills, processes and structures and financial impact of the IT services and solutions portfolio, and develop plans to manage the impact effectively
  • Lead the organization's talent development.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related, Masters preferred
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated understanding and proven experience designing, implementing and managing large-scale, transactional, ecommerce applications or platforms
    • Proven experience developing strategic and tactical plans with a track record of implementations of large-scale enterprise system deployments
    • Knowledge of digital commerce trends and techniques, technology and analytics
    • 10 years' experience of which 6 years of experience leading a team, supporting direct or indirect reports
    • 5 years of proven IT project management with Technology lead experience leading eCommerce development. Leading and implementing solution on Sitecore eCommerce and or similar technology platform experience preferred
    • Experience on managing team using Azure/ GitHub Devops tools/ processes including automated testing
    • Experience in technology assessment, tool selection and benchmarking
    • Experience in business requirements process, gap analysis and documentation, solution assessment and validation
    • Experience documenting technical product requirements
    • Experience using analytics tools and data to make decisions
    • Good understanding of Product Information Management tools like Informatica 360 will be added advantage
    • Agile/Scrum experience
    • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport within Regal and with external customers/vendors.
    • Demonstrated track record of partnering effectively with others, ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • The ability to produce high-quality work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Proven ability to be hands on, demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a continuous improvement mindset and can embrace Regal's 80/20 principles.

This position is based in Grafton, but we are open to 100% remote based anywhere in the U.S.
