What you will do

This role supports the Corporate Development Office and Global IT Teams. The role will mobilize and lead cross-functional IT teams in the execution of IT M&A projects within rigorous transaction time frames. You will ensure the successful delivery of IT M&A projects (merger, acquisition, JV formation, and divestiture activities) with a primary focus on the application systems integration/separation.

This role will be responsible for onboarding and directing application project managers in support of their assigned M&A programs. The individual will work collaboratively with the IT M&A Director to define and resource the appropriate project managers and business analysts for their designated M&A transactions and ensure the M&A department retains a pool of strong project managers from one deal to the next. This role will help develop a flex model to help the M&A team staff up and down as the pipeline goes up and down.

How you will do it


  • Monitor one large, or multiple smaller, projects through the execution of the transition process.

  • Manage the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects/programs.

  • Direct work/projects, controlling cost/schedule elements, management of resources, communications management, reporting, and change management.

  • Coordinate and utilize resources for multiple projects in the program.

  • Establish, maintain and explain the program methodology, procedures and policies, consistently within the Enterprise PMO and M&A rules and guidelines.

  • Communicate with project managers to address potential risks.

  • Solve problems and issues.

  • Monitor the progress of M&A program components to ensure the overall goals, schedules, budget, and benefits of the program will be achieved.

  • Communicate program objectives, goals, and progress to program directors, executives, upper management, and stakeholders.

  • Evaluate and supervise multiple projects.

  • Organize cross-projects work within the program.

  • Lead and mentor project staff and team members.

  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders and engage key influence networks (internal and external).

  • Help establish IT M&A program one time cost estimates.

  • Interface with external third parties as required to support transaction execution.

  • Provide management reporting on M&A activities as required.

  • Deliver programs on schedule, within budget, and in accordance to the specification.

  • Initiate, plan, execute and close all program deliverables as committed.

  • Support the vendor selection and management process (scope, plan and milestone definition, operational issues, deliverable & milestone approval, quality control, etc.).

  • Manage vendor administration (SOW activation, PCRs authorization, invoice approval).

  • Drive program planning and control from an operational point of view (activity, milestones and resource planning), with a special focus on core activities and global plan consolidation.

  • Ensure that projects are organized and executed in a consistent manner within established corporate standards and tools.


What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Advance degree in IT related field or MBA preferred.

  • 12+ years Program Management experience required.

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects, global teams, project managers, application leads.

  • Strong understanding of IT concepts.

  • Extensive program and project management experience.

  • Experience project managing IT M&A integration and separation activities.

  • Advanced program management skills in complex IS and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple teams in various locations and time zones.

  • Deep project management experience managing large-scale, global implementations.

  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.

  • Passion for leading teams and implementing change.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong negotiation and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among different teams.

  • High communication skills required at all levels. Must be able to interact and impact senior leadership. Excellent command of verbal and written communication (English). Effective presentation style for all levels of stakeholders.

  • Strong problem solving, decision making, issue analysis and resolution skills. Highly organized.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with internal clients.

  • Ability to work well in a fast paced multicultural global work environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities with internal clients.

  • Ability to gather and address both business and technical requirements. Must be highly motivated self- starter.
Preferred:

  • Advance degree in IT-related field or MBA preferred.

  • Experience leading large global IT M&A deployments or separations preferred.
