Job Description

This tremendous continued growth has led us to create a new position within our IT organization. We are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join this growing team and coordinate the acquisition of IT hardware and software for the company including on-premise and cloud-based solutions.

This position will be primarily responsible for centralizing and processing procurement requests through their lifecycle from quote to delivery. The IT Procurement Specialist will also track and manage large enterprise software purchases and renewals, and ensure the company's use of software is legitimate and in compliance with license terms. This role will engage in negotiations and work directly with vendors on a daily basis. We are also looking for someone with experience in process optimization and a drive for continuous improvement, who can independently find and fix inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Process IT hardware and software purchase requests from within IT and across the business, including quoting, requisitions, approvals, contracting, order processing, licensing, and delivery.
  • Negotiate enterprise-wide IT supplier contracts, including master agreements, statements of work, and price lists. Interface with Legal to broker terms with vendors.
  • Conducts supplier and vendor quality and contract SLA compliance reviews.
  • Track and maintain a database of subscriptions and maintenance, and ensure timely renewals.
  • Record and maintain contract and procurement information in a centralized location.
  • Administer named-user license allocation and SaaS subscription portals.
  • Drive cost savings through supplier rationalization, value engineering, re-sourcing, and negotiation.
  • Investigate and resolve billing and delivery issues as required.
  • Perform periodic internal software license compliance audits, true-up analyses, and make purchase recommendations if required.
  • Support vendor-initiated software license compliance audits.
  • Develop and implement process and efficiency improvements across all IT procurement and license compliance functions.
  • Communicates procurement sourcing procedures and operating standards to staff throughout the organization.
  • Work with acquired companies to align them into Medline software standards and procurement processes.

    Job Qualifications
    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in a relevant field - information technology, supply chain, procurement, or audit. The ideal candidate has IT procurement experience.
  • Skilled negotiator with fluency in contracts and a strong drive to maximize value.
  • Understanding of software licensing, including geographic restrictions, downgrade and upgrade rights, assignment, and usage monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex issues, effectively and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, transformative IT environment.
  • Experience creating, documenting, and optimizing business processes.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen including ability to understand non-technical business topics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Professional work experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
