Position Summary

This IT Risk Analyst is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of Information Technology risk controls identified by business controls and/or Technology Risk Leadership. This person will work closely with the Information Technology Risk Manager in the prioritization of work and review of projects completed. This position is also responsible for hands-on execution of control testing/risk assessments and the development of control enhancement recommendations. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, this position will archive results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting IT risks of all types.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) risk controls identified by business controls and/or Technology Risk Leadership. Evaluate and execute a consistent risk assessment management program to effectively manage IT Risk in accordance with internal policy and Federal/State Regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) functions to align the IT Risk Program elements with ERM processes and compliance to support strategic business objectives and oversight of the Risk Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for Information Technology.
  • Adhere to the IT Risk program standards utilizing industry best practice frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, SANS, NIST, Basel, GLBA, SOX, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, etc.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Awareness and Training for Information Technology Risk Program elements. This including adhering to the guidelines on Risk Management practices and procedures appropriate for Wintrust Technology's needs, to ensure that risk responsibilities are understood and carried out throughout department.
  • Monitor risk findings, remediate resolution including development and execution of corrective action plans and ensure follow-up reporting and monitoring for these findings.
  • Coordinate validation efforts for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity program.

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science or information systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Controls design, implementation and testing.
  • Working knowledge of information security basics, IT Risks, IT Controls and COBIT 5.1
  • Must Possess Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of interacting effectively with business partners or clients
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Technical or Professional certifications in field of specialization highly recommended. CISA or CRISC or CISSP or CISM preferred
