The IT services support administrator is responsible for providing oversight in projects and technical support to a variety of business and IT users and their applications. The IT services support administrator will be accountable for monitoring and enabling applications to ensure application availability to IT, business community and our customers.  Communicates and interacts with all levels of the organization.

Overtime and holiday work is required and a condition of employment. Employee may, from time to time, be required to work from home and, as such, will be required to comply with Independent Health security and privacy policies.


  • Bachelors degree required, Information Technology discipline preferred.  An additional four (4) years of experience in information technology may be considered in lieu of degree.  
  • Four (4) years of experience in IT required, system administrator experience preferred.
  • Experience in the negotiation of products and pricing for IT Infrastructure.
  • Proven knowledge of application design principles and application architecture.
  • Proven ability to navigate and work on multiple operating systems such as Windows and Unix-Linux.
  • Proven ability in incident management and escalation.
  • Demonstrates team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates project management skills including identification of resources, creation of project and implementation plans and expected deliverables.
  • Ability to configure third party software while following established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate at a professional level with all levels of the organization.
  • Initiates self-directed learning opportunities, identifies applicability and demonstrates use of the acquired skills.
  • Ability to learn and support a rapidly changing environment
  • Advanced user level experience in MS Office suite, including Visio and Project.
  • Aptitude and desire to investigate and understand emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrates understanding of troubleshooting with Apple mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Collaborative and Accountable.
