Kent State University

Kent State University is ranked by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching among the nation’s top 74 public high-research universities and among the top 76 in community engagement. Kent State is the only university in Ohio — public or private — to make the 2014 list of “Great Colleges to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education. And Kent State once again ranked in the coveted first-tier of U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 edition of Best Colleges.

Kent State serves more than 41,000 students university-wide with its eight-campus system. As Northeast Ohio’s first-choice public university, Kent State provides the resources and facilities of a large, diverse research university, while its Regional Campuses offer the friendly atmosphere of small liberal arts colleges. Kent State is the leader in the total number of graduates in Northeast Ohio and has more than 227,000 alumni worldwide.

Through its collaborations with other higher education institutions, businesses and nonprofit health and research centers, Kent State has become a $1.9 billion engine for economic, cultural and workforce development in the region and beyond.
