Job Description

About the role:

Join Takeda as a Lead Instrumentation and Controls Technician where you will perform troubleshooting, routine and corrective maintenance on multiple control systems. You will perform training within the group and participate in projects and commissioning of equipment. As part of the Metrology team, you will report to the supervisor of the Metrology team and work with several groups within the facility.

How you will contribute:

  • You will perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on multiple plant control systems
  • You will maintain spare parts and supplies
  • You will represent the facilities department in startup, commissioning and validation of all process control systems
  • You will perform training on systems to all members of the Instrumentation and Controls group
  • You will evaluate performance of control systems, provide improvement recommendations and create requests for future improvement projects

What you bring to Takeda:

  • AS Degree or equivalent combined with minimum of 5 years of Industrial Instrumentation and Controls experience is required
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's is required
  • Valid MA Journeyman's Electrical License preferred
  • Working multiple sites for Takeda in MA
  • Valid MA Drivers License

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
