A Day In The Life Typically Includes





  • Serve as an escalation point for operational issues.

  • Delegate tasks to other team members and hold accountable through completion.

  • Participate in monthly customer meetings.

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and product ownership for managed network services.

  • Ensure that help desk tickets are being resolved within prescribed SLAs.

  • Help identify, analyze and implement IT support process solutions for the NOC team to handle technical problems.

  • Participate in and lead technical projects to enhance the Network Operations Center Team (NOC).

  • Assist with interview process when recruiting new NOC team members.

  • Own and drive technical training processes for team of 10+ team members.

  • Works in a large networking environment under minimal supervision performing tasks per predefined documented procedures.

  • Monitor 600+ network interfaces and 11,000 total monitored devices, domestic and international via a network performance monitoring solution.

  • Work with third party vendors both during routine deployment and outages providing first level troubleshooting and problem resolution including defined escalation processes.

  • Ensure escalations are handled in a professional, consistent, and relentless manner.

  • Documents, tracks and monitors various platform issues including environmental and access to data centers.



What You Will Need:




  • Experience working in Network Operations

  • Prior experience with the administration and troubleshooting of large enterprise networks or large managed service provider network.

  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

  • Associate degree in a network related field and2+ year similar business networking work experience.









What Will Put You Ahead?




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor degree in Network Systems or Information Support Services.

  • 3+ years experience supporting a network environment.

  • Experience in developing other team members knowledge and skills in the networking field.

  • Automation / Scripting experience

  • Experience working with ticketing systems (ie; Service Now)
