POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for an experienced Product Scientist in support of our U by Kotex brand. The role is responsible for leading product development for liners, and/or pads on programs that are slated to launch in the next 3 years. The Role reports to the UbK R&E Senior Manager. The role is located in Neenah Wisconsin.

KEY CUSTOMERS:

Research Scientists, Product Developers, Innovation Teams, Product Supply, Marketing, Production Facilities, Legal, Regulatory, Procurement, Mill Teams, and Corporate Quality

SCOPE:

The role typically requires work on 1-3 projects at one time depending on complexity. Key deliverables include but are not limited to, developing product learning plans, product optimization, defining product use testing / success criteria, and development while considering process and production requirements. Since pads and liners are regulated products, medical device proficiency is preferred. Team member will work as part of a larger cross functional team.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

  • Candidates must possess a bachelors or advanced degree in related major scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of experience (7+ yrs. preferred) in a variety of technical or scientific assignments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills providing / taking work direction to /from a multi-functional team including internal and external resources.
  • Experience in product development and commercialization
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through training and mentorship.
  • Must be able to work independently and progress with limited instruction and also as part of a larger cross functional team.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% if needed, including some international travel.
  • Ability to complete work within established timeframes

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Regulatory experience with FDA Class I, Class II Medical devices.
  • Strong knowledge in the product development and commercialization. A demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of product related initiatives.
  • Consumer Products experience.
  • Practical experience with LEAN Manufacturing.
  • Experience with supplier management in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with Process Validation, Design Control and Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Menstrual pads and liners
