Learning & Development Director

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field required; Masters degree preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in human resources and/or leadership development, which must include 5+ years of people management experience of senior level HR professionals required

  • Certifications or advanced coursework in instructional design, behavioral psychology or educational psychology a plus.

  • Significant experience managing vendors and consultants.

What youll do . . .

As the Learning & Development Director for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Work collaboratively across a diverse group of stakeholders to identify individual, group and organizational development programs by defining, developing, implementing and evaluating strategies and programs to drive the annual strategic plan and department goals.

  • Conduct organization needs assessments to identify opportunities and drive desired changes and outcomes.

  • Develop and deliver programs that foster a culture of development within the organization to ensure the employees have the necessary skills to be effective in their roles today and in the future as well as assist leaders in driving engagement, retention and development of their teams. Create multi-faceted plans and programs to support employees in their career aspirations.

  • Develop and strengthen Banners Leadership Development programs. Build and maintain development and assessment programs that strengthen leadership effectiveness and provide strong succession planning.

  • Drive the communication strategy with key stakeholders regarding the availability and status of development programs.

  • Lead development activities and virtual sessions to support development programs. Oversee the creation of educational materials, such as online learning modules. Develop learning aids such as manuals, process steps, etc. to support our development programs.

  • Develop, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions including selecting Learning Experience Platform (LXP / LMS) and content providers.

  • Facilitate Train-the-Trainer workshops, as needed for leadership programs delivered by internal facilitators. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors.

  • Manage coaching, mentoring and 360 assessment requests/process.

  • Leverage data to evaluate strategies and programs measuring the achievement of established goals and action plans.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, including those internal to Human Resources (e.g., HR Business Partners).

You will be part of our Human Resources team, reporting to the CHRO and a key member of the HR Leadership Team. Youll lead a transformation of our talent development strategy by creating a framework that creates a culture of development and supports the vision of learn anywhere, any time. Youll also orient the L&D team towards high impact initiatives, establishing the structure to make learning scalable and collaborative supervising a staff of two talent development partners.
