Library Security Monitor (Temporary )


The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Library Security Monitor (Temporary ).

Applications will be accepted until 12/31/2017.

Maintain security and safety of people and property in Hesburgh Library by surveying areas and enforcing library rules and regulations. Serves as a point of contact for building, maintenance, security and emergency information. Responsible for the opening, closing and monitoring of the building to provide an atmosphere conducive to study and research. This is a Temporary position, so there is no set schedule or times.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required, with at least one year experience on a job that requires decision making.Must be able to work a very flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, overnight, Holidays and weekend hours.Must be willing to be certified for First Aid and CPR. Good organizational and interpersonal skills are needed.
Requires the ability to patrol designated areas on foot for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:
Currently certified in CPR/first Aid.
