POSITION INFORMATION Summary/Objective:
The Liquidity Solutions team offers a variety of products to commercial banking clients. This role is designed to give recent graduates and early career professionals exposure to the strategy behind and delivery execution of those products. You will build a solid breadth of knowledge rotating through several groups within the organization that will set you up for future career success as a liquidity professional.

This competitive program is designed to invest in you for the first 24 months through a series of 8-month rotations. Alongside these rotations you will work with the Business Management team to provide you a fourth area of exposure as you grow in your career. In addition to the rotations the program includes information sessions on areas of Liquidity that you do not rotate through to give you a holistic picture of the organization and help you best direct your career. At the end of the 24 months, once you have gained valuable experience, you will be matched with a permeant role that best fits your passions and satisfies business need.

The first rotation is a dive into MO (Middle Office). The MO team supports the systems, functions processes and procedures for Liquidity Management Cash Sweep, Repo and SAM solutions. Some examples of work completed during this rotation may be:

  • Trading & trade settlements: execution and resolution of complex securities transactions
  • Reconciliation: analyze records and transactions for discrepancies
  • Account maintenance: implement account changes
  • Revenue recognition: Calculate revenue estimates and process and review management fees

The second rotation is a dive into our SAM (Silicon Valley Bank Asset Management) team. This team helps clients preserve capital for future use through curated investments tailored to specific client needs. Some examples of work completed during this rotation may be:
  • Portfolio compliance monitoring: comparing market variations to client investment policies
  • Investment policy programming: translate what clients want into systems to flag anomalies
  • Request for proposal assembly: help target marketing to a specific client to win business
  • Placement research: assist research investments to place client assets

The third rotation is an exciting jump into our LAM (Liquidity Account Management) team. This client facing team is essential in building value for clients through resolving issues and advising financial decisions. Solidifying client relationships is essential to our business and here you will learn how we do that. Some examples of work completed during this rotation may be:
  • Account Maintenance & Support: Provide audit support, confirmations, and pricing materials.
  • Produce Portfolio Review Presentations: Review client investments and recommendations
  • Complaint resolution: learn to handle issues and provide input to improve processes
  • Respond to inquiries: wire support, signer updates, LOAs, system access, and more

The rotations are designed to take 5-6 hours in the morning, with your afternoons focused on professional development and a 4th area of exposure to the Business Management team. The Business Management team is the core of information flow throughout the organization and provides much of the analysis and reporting for other groups. Some examples of work completed throughout the program in the afternoons will be:
  • Provide a daily summary of top deposit movers and trends to senior leadership
  • Monthly presentation prep: learn to use tableau to build slides for reporting monthly results
  • Preform Ad-Hoc analysis that drives product strategy and decisioning
  • Identify uncaptured market opportunities for sales teams through CRM reporting

In addition to the rotations the program includes information sessions on areas of Liquidity that you do not rotate through, as to give you a holistic picture of the organization and help you best direct your career.
