Job Description:

Orrick is looking for a Managing Associate to join its dynamic San Francisco Employment Group, which would include working on high profile complex employment litigation cases, systemic discrimination wage and hour class actions, counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues, and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and creative with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.  The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility to work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

Job Requirements:
This position requires significant employment legal experience, attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate. Qualifications include:  3-5 years of extensive Employment Law experience; JD from accredited law school; and licensure from at least one (1) jurisdiction. Excellent academic credentials; excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be admitted to the California State Bar.  Candidate may reside in San Francisco or Sacramento office.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.

For attorney positions, a 'qualified applicant' is an individual who is a member of the State Bar of California, admitted in good standing, and is eligible to practice[1]; or whose admission to the State Bar of California and eligibility to practice remains subject only to successful completion of the California Bar Examination.
