The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


Responsibilities

The contractor shall serve as Logistician for the UAVIO Project and be responsible for coordinating the supply chain (our system that moves a product from supplier, to the project/lab environments, and out to the final consumer). The contractor shall manage the entire life cycle of our products (which includes how we acquire product, distribute product, allocate final product, and deliver final product to consumers). During the execution of these requirements, through access to information such as shipping and receiving documentation, pricing data, obsolescence data, etc., the Logistician may be exposed to other contractors proprietary information. Requirements for this position include:

  • Collaborate as necessary to meet UAVIO Project and customer requirements
  • Explain proposed solutions to customers (via UAVIO management), or other interested parties through written proposals, e-mails, and/or oral presentations
  • Review logistics performance with the UAVIO Project against targets, benchmarks and ongoing service agreements
  • Support the development of training materials and technical manuals, if required
  • Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices
  • Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates
  • Support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development
  • Manage availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products
  • Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination or provisioning of samples, and the minimization of obsolescence
  • Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts
  • Perform system life-cycle cost analysis, and develop component studies
  • Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations
  • Redesign (if applicable) the movement of goods in order to maximize value and minimize costs
  • Report project plans, progress, and results
  • Stay informed of logistics technology advances; apply appropriate technology in order to improve UAVIO logistics processes


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum associate degree and at least five (5) years of experience in skills identified above

OR

  • Formal degree requirement may be evaluated and waived if applicant provides at least seven (7) years of experience
