Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Crew Leader at our Cedar Springs, GA containerboard mill. OurCedars Springs location manufactures containerboard for ourPackaging Business.The Maintenance Crew Leader will supervise the daily work of unionized maintenance technicians. The successful person will possess strong communication, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and make an impact on our Cedar Springs mill.





A Day in The Life Typically Includes:







    • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. Review and audit procedures for proper detail and frequency.

    • Participate in the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling work flow process. Ensure work processes are followed as designed.

    • Participate in reliability center meetings, carrying-out action item resolutions as assigned.

    • Ensure proper job planning for all jobs by working closely with area maintenance planner.

    • Actively participate in routine shutdown (turnaround) planning and assist planners with job planning.

    • Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.

    • Actively lead team safety meetings. Must consistently contribute to the efforts of the Cedar Springs mill to continuously improve safety

    • Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process. These include schedule compliance, break-in data, backlog metrics, PM adherence, and work identification source metrics.

    • Collaborate with production supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective outcomes.

    • Responsible for performance management, employee development and coaching of crew members.

    • Manage contract services as required

    • Consistently contributes to the efforts of the Cedar Springs mill employees to improve maintenance reliability by applying reliability principles such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify the appropriate Predicative and Preventative maintenance procedures.



What You Will Need:




Basic Qualifications:




    • High School diploma or GED

    • 5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial maintenance or pulp and paper operations.

    • 3+ years of supervisory experience.

    • Technical knowledge of equipment industrial pumps, agitators & screens.

    • Experience with plant and equipment maintenance practices; work quality management methods and practices; and equipment reliability concepts.

    • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • The ability to work variable schedules and some weekends, as needed





What Will Put You Ahead?







Preferred Qualifications:




    • Associate degree in a technical field

    • Experience with Microsoft Project

    • Previous experience working in a unionized environment

    • CMMS experience
