We are currently looking for a DAY SHIFT lndustrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Plant, located at 1600 Kelly Blvd, Carrollton TX 75006 ,near Belt Line/Webb Chapel.

Position reports to: Plant Manager

SUMMARYThe Maintenance Mechanic primary responsibilities are to safely troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair production equipment and machines including blenders, extruder, inline converting equipment, winders, envelope machines, pouch machines and off-line converting equipment, in addition to performing some general building maintenance.

Main Responsibilities :

Responsible for proper completion of scheduled maintenance activities associated with production and support equipment.Respond to and provide resolution of unplanned equipment failures/downtimeReport maintenance performed on daily basis. Provide appropriate recommendations for replace/refurbishment of components, assemblies etc.Responsible for maintaining maintenance records/histories relevant to tasks performed. Equipment histories shall encompass production equipment, support equipment, and spare parts utilization.Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment and machinery within the facility.Effectively communicate with machine operators in order to assist production personnel with preventive maintenance and troubleshootingRetrieve spare parts from local vendors on an as needed basis.Ensure correct and safe operation of company owned equipment and machinery.Utilize safety equipment such as safety glasses, lockouts, and earplugs. Must work in safe manner and adhere to lockout policies and plant safety related procedures.Effectively communicate all unplanned equipment failures to management. Submit and/or initiate a proactive approach to prevent reoccurrence of failure.Report all equipment damage and/or safety infractions to management.

Requirements

Requirements:

· Technical trades school, high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience· Knowledge of electrical, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics circuitry, ac/dc drives, with PLC exposure· Fabrication / welding experience· 3 + years mechanical/industrial maintenance experienceA self starter· Able to clearly read and understand machine prints & schematics· Excellent written and oral communication skills· Must have own tools· Vehicle capable to retrieve equipment parts on an as needed basis· Good driving record· Manufacturing or plastics extrusion related experience preferred
