The Specialist will act as an interface between the stakeholders, internal and external, and the Team Product Owners & development team(s) as directed by the Manager, Domain Product Owner. In collaboration with their business partners, the Specialist will execute on priorities and goals. The Specialist will represent management in stakeholder meetings and communicate priorities and issues raised.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Understand and interpret the backlog/roadmap through a customer-centric design focused approach and innovation.

Support the DPO Manager in the design, development, implementation and socialization of systems strategy & design and communications for Clinical Operations.

Develops relationships with key business areas to understand their strategies and system capabilities and needs to integrate them into the strategy and roadmap

Aligns system roadmap with Federal regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

Exposes team(s) to the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility within the systems space.

Works to integrate user acceptance research, and company goals to drive prioritization of systems initiatives.

Collaborates with vendors and IT to ensure front-end system interactions align with back-end applications to offer an innovative and effective user experience.

Supports the aggregation of all systems backlogs into a single domain/channel backlog and prioritizes for the business.

Understands and communicates prioritization of features with a mind toward user and business benefits/tradeoffs.

Provides clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, understands business workflows, design and product requirements, and other materials as needed to support design and development.

Remains actively involved in creation of user stories & user acceptance research to inform system and/or technology decisions.

Assists with validation of backlog items released to production.

Understands release success criteria.

Keeps business partners and other stakeholders informed throughout system enhancement/upgrade life cycle.

Works with the Team Product Owners to elaborate requirements including high-level Acceptance Criteria.

Interfaces with other Domain Product Owners to manage dependencies within integrated projects.

Assists IT/Stakeholders with review of urgent system issues.

Communicates with appropriate stakeholders on urgent system issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in related field required. In lieu of degree, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant healthcare experience required.

Minimum three (3) years of related work experience supporting the delivery of product and systems solutions for clinical operations teams. Self-motivated, able to analyze problems and identify solutions with minimal direction, flexible, able to meet deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced, high volume team environment.

Ability to prioritize work components and define objectives

Ability to think critically and apply analytical approach to recommended solutions

Attention to detail, diligence and dedication

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel between the health plan regions as needed

  • Works from a desk most of the time
