Overview:
  • Materials Analyst is accountable for the process in the Operation chain, including safety, quality, production and material handling.
  • The role is responsible for material flow and maintaining an accurate inventory and ERP system
  • The role is supportive of the storage of product and provides daily support for receiving, market/warehouse, and Quick Ship to ensure on time deliveries in an effective manner.
    Responsibilities:
  • On time delivery, Leadtime reduction, cycle counting, inventory levels and shipment execution.
  • Support of the storage of product and materials
  • Support the procurement process of materials and establishment of delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.
  • Ensures the placed orders are delivered on time
  • Provides critical daily support for all materials and inventory related processes within assigned market(s)/value streams.
  • Coordinates and executes assigned kanban processes including daily ordering processes, kanban card auditing and key item set up with ERP system (Item Master and PFEP values) for assigned items.
  • Prints/maintains kanban cards.
  • Establishes, monitors and maintains accurate ERP system set-up for planning non-kanban items (MRP/Re-Order Point).
  • Plans all assigned parts.
  • Maintains expertise, provides primary support to resolve issues, and fills in as required for planner positions.
  • Serves as primary contact for daily market inventory related issues
  • Supports NCR Process from initiating NCR through disposition to minimizing impact on production schedules.
  • Provide analysis and metrics and work with other manufacturing plants and strategic supply chain to drive improvements in lot sizes, order frequency, and lead times for all materials supplied internally and externally. Partner with strategic supply chain to optimize the supply network and resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Supports to deliver material inventory performance that optimizes Days on Hand (DOH)
  • Supports methods for review and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • University Degree, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in materials planning, logistics and production scheduling is preferred
  • Extensive experience with core software applications (ERP), preferably with SAP in planning and/or distribution.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Experience in the implementation of major change programs in operations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 6 SigmaGreen Belt Certified is a plus.
  • Planning/Purchasing experience is a plus
