The Naheola Mill is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to provide Mechanical Planning support in the Pulp & Woodyard Operations area. This position reports to the Pulp Mill Outage Coordinator and collaborates with mechanical maintenance Supervisors, Planners and hourly mechanics as well as other maintenance and operations personnel in the Pulping and Woodyard areas.



ABOUT THE NAHEOLA OPERATIONS



Georgia-Pacifics Naheola Mill located in Pennington, Alabama, is a manufacturing site for the companys well-known consumer products business. More than 800 employees produce a wide range of products for the consumer business, including Quilted Northern and Angel Soft bath tissue, Sparkle paper towels, and Dixie napkins, as well as bleached paperboard used in Dixie paper cups and plates.

The mill is the largest employer in the community and is engaged in supporting community outreach, workforce development and education. The area is a sportsmans paradise with world-class hunting for deer, turkey and other small game and is bounded on the east by the Tombigbee River which provides such recreation as freshwater fishing, boating and water skiing. Residents of this area enjoy the mild climate, a low cost of living, and is an easy drive to the many resort communities and soft white-sand beaches of the Gulf Coast.




A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Actively plan and prioritize work requests in line with the departments vision

  • Identify job hazards, materials and permit requirements to ensure a safe working environment

  • Review all executed jobs for accuracy and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement

  • Drive process change to maximize efficiency

  • Participate in priority and planning meetings, outage coordination meetings, and schedule review meetings

  • Participate in all root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to help improve equipment reliability

  • Coordinate contracted maintenance services

  • Maintain accurate equipment lists and Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Develop and execute small project plans

What You Will Need:



Basic Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Three (3) or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or constructionenvironment

  • One (1) or more years experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project)

  • Ability to work week-end duty on a rotational basis.

  • Ability to work extended hours and week-ends when necessary.
