**Job Description:**

Supervises trade booking and trade validation. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of a wide variety of complex products that may require special handling or exception reporting. Supports ongoing trade maintenance and reporting and supports the implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment. Introduces new initiatives, products and services, and procedural, systems or hardware solutions to improve efficiency. Provides analyses. Requires product experience and knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Provides general team guidance. May provide input to recruiting and hiring & performance mgt processes. BA preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 5-7 years of applicable experience. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

**Summary of Business Area:**

As part of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Equities Product Delivery Group, you will serve as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate is to deliver industry leading Front to back process and technology solutions. Acting as a data manager, you will be responsible for drivingdriven initiatives at every phase of the project life cycle. Use your knowledge of processes and best practices within technology (application integration / application development), Trade Control / Operations and project management to assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues/problems.Assist in setting and executing the vision for Equities support functions. As a leader in the group you will capitalize on current momentum on Equity front-to-back integration initiatives and be accountable for driving change and seeing the through successful implementation.

**Responsibilities include (but not limited to):**

+ Partner closely with Trade Control, Operations and COO teams (including Sr. Management) and Technology Partners to define/re-define business processes and implement related technology solutions.

+ Candidate will have the opportunity to help build a data management and metrics model within Equity Support areas.

+ Responsible for leading/managing the development of metrics management by helping to design, develop and implement a data collection database.

+ Will be expected to streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast and accurate access to metrics.

+ Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results

+ Communication skills will be heavily utilized in forming and communicating a change agenda and gaining stakeholder buy-in.

Key aims will be

+ Deliver on Equities strategic initiatives for the Trade Control and Operations functions.

+ Help to design an infrastructure where data metrics help drive process and development decisions for the Equity Derivatives business

+ Utilise existing tools and build new ones to allow Trade Control heads & Line Of Business Managers to carry out more effective analysis of the business

**Required Skills:**

Essential for the role will be strong inter-personal skills with the candidate able to work and influence successfully at all levels as is the ability to manage people / deliverables at a distance, both organisationally and geographically.

+ Ability to lead and drive change

+ Strong collaboration and relationship management skills

+ High sense of urgency with ability to drive results.

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Have proven requirement and process definition and documentation skills, with ability to handle diverse workload and tight schedules

+ Ability to drive to closure, reputation for execution

+ Strong Risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills

+ Strong technical skills

+ 3+ years performing data analysis/definition

+ Ability to extrapolate conclusions from large data sets

+ Experience with Databases

+ Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills

+ Ability to work in a team of Analysts and Technologists

+ Ability to work across business groups and in a team environment

**Desired Skills:**

+ College Degree required

+ Experience with SQL Databases, Java, Python and other related applications

+ Strong Understanding of financial processes

+ Ability to articulate full product life cycle and understanding Trade lifecycle

+ Experience in Trade Control/Operations re-engineering initiatives

+ Understanding of business unit control functions and corporate reporting

+ Must have ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple, complex organizational and business issues, ability to translate into practical plans for project execution

+ Broad business experience in defining business and systems requirements for Corporate-wide applications
