Job Description:

The Senior Quantitative Finance Manager role sits within the Consumer / Global Wealth Investment Management Model Risk Management team, and focuses on Bankcard Acquisition and Home Loan models. The role manages a group of staff responsible for testing and validating quantitative analytics/modeling for specific business units or types of transactions. Directs activity of staff in their area in providing support to the business unit and to other business units within Bank of America. Actively involved in the analytics effort, but spends significant amount of time managing staff and coordinating projects. Acts as a senior level resource or resident expert on particular analytic/quantitative modeling techniques.

Role Description:

+ Manage a team of 14 to 18 senior quantitative analysts responsible to review and validate the models developed by the consumer modeling team in the Bankcard Acquisition and Home Loan areas.

+ Lead the team to manage the risk of the models to best support the line of businesses in compliance with Enterprise Model Risk Policy, procedures, guidelines and regulatory requirements for model independent validation and model risk management.

+ Use their abilities as a leader to supervise and coach this team of highly experienced quantitative analysts.

+ This role will also lead the team to develop and manage relationships with business partners, resolve issues that arise and to actively participate in both internal and external examinations.

Qualifications and Skills/Competencies Required:

+ PhD Degree level education in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Math and other quantitative fields) preferred or a First Class MS Degree in a quantitative discipline plus solid quantitative working experience

+ Proven track record of leadership with 8+ years of experience managing a quantitative team

+ 12+ years of hands on experience in consumer model development/validation

+ Have a deep understanding on modeling methodology and performance assessment

+ Advanced knowledge of programming languages SAS, SQL, R, and Python, as well as optimization solvers, and machine learning techniques

+ Documentation using Microsoft Office products and LaTeX

+ Up to date knowledge of industry trends and developments, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

+ Understanding of consumer banking business operations & model usage, and sound risk management principles

+ Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and work well with people at all levels
