National Sales Manager - The Home Depot Channel (USCA)

The National Sales Manager, NSM, is responsible for meeting and exceeding POS targets for The Home Depot business through visionary field leadership and strengthening THD's commitment to PPG throughout their field organization. This person is a critical member of the THD Account team and leads the field sales team for US and Canada. We are seeking a proven sales management executive to manage the sales with The Home Depot account; someone who can grow the current business and identify opportunities for new areas of growth particularly with the professional customer.

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the field selling effort to persuade THD field to grow the PPG business through personal selling to the highest THD field levels, and helping the PPG field at all levels to connect with their counterparts at THD.
  • Creating and empowering a world class sales organization consisting of over four hundred sales professionals that represents a competitive advantage for PPG, due to the strength of their capabilities.
  • Continuously envisioning the next step in sales structure, competencies, and tools to keep PPG ahead of competition. Able to articulate the roadmap for the sales function, and motivate the field team to embrace that roadmap.
  • Bringing the business strategy to life at field level. Is able to translate the business goals in a highly motivating way into defining the sales culture, the key priorities, and the behaviors expected of the PPG field team.
  • Ensuring flawless field execution of business programs, including personally stepping in to manage challenges that may occur.
  • Is accountable for annual sales and gross margin performance vs. target and POS performance vs. target.
