Arcosa Construction Products Segment is searching for an Occupational Nurse based out of our Arlington, Texas office. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 diverse aggregates mining and manufacturing environment that is regulated by MSHA and OSHA safety standards. As the Construction Products Segment Occupational Nurse, you will assist leaders and employees in creating a safe and healthy workplace.

Arcosa Construction Products Segment manufactures products in three distinct types in locations across the country and with one location in Canada.

Aggregates: natural sand, gravel and limestone base, recycled aggregates and stabilized sand
Specialty Materials: lightweight aggregates, processed gypsum and limestone materials
Construction site support: steel and aluminum trench shoring products and systems

What you\u0027ll do:
Support multiple locations across the country
Assist the businesses and locations in meeting health and safety standards
Manage Workers Compensation cases
Develop and coordinate Health and Wellness Programs to address the key Workers Compensation Issues for each plant/location including addressing nutrition, safety, general health, weight management
Assist with the ADA accommodation process
Serve as a resource for Supervisors and Managers to support Return To Work
Partner with Safety/Risk Management to review open Workers Compensation cases and ensure treatment plans promote successful illness/injury recovery
Develop ongoing prevention programs to address relevant issues for each plant/location ( i.e., Sleep and Nutrition for employees who work night shifts)
Develop Occupational Health Programs to address relevant health issues such as, mosquito borne illnesses, seasonal flu, COVID-19, Back Strain, etc.
Educate employees on various required occupational health topics and risk minimization
Conduct onsite blood pressure testing
Build relationships and collaborate with local clinics
Assist with company acquisitions by locating and developing relationship with local clinic
Update/build functional capacity requirements for operating positions.
Stay up-to-date with current health and safety legislation
Create a healthier and safer environment to reduce disability claims and work related injuries
Perform other duties as assigned

What you\u0027ll need:
Minimum of 5 years of Occupational Nurse experience
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse, with current license (licensure should be confirmed)
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) Preferred
Experience with working to ensure Workplace accommodations are facilitated
Experience working with Drug Screen Programs (For Cause and Random)
Experience collaborating with external clinics to ensure that employees have access to appropriate medical resources if referrals are necessary
Basic understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety
Strong knowledge of OSHA/MSHA and understanding of OSHA/MSHA recordkeeping, ADA, and Fitness for Duty Programs/Processes
Strong familiarity with Workers Compensation laws and experience in collaboration with Workers Compensation adjusters
Ability to travel 25%-50%
