Please Note: This position is part-time but the successful candidate could be considered for full-time opportunities should they come available. With that in mind, open availability is preferred (including evenings and weekends). Excellent customer service skills are a must! Our Outlet is open Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sundays.



OBJECTIVE:



The Outlet Associate will be the first point of contact for many customers within our Outlet Center. Outlet Associates will be held responsible for stocking the bins, placing bins onto the sales area, and operating a point-of-sale cash register system. Due to the constant contact with customers it is essential that Outlet Associates provide excellent customer service displaying an Attitude of Gratitude in order to support the mission of the organization.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide excellent Customer Service with an Attitude of Gratitude.

  • Provide assistance to customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.

  • Provide a safe environment for customers and employees, to include overseeing Outlet rules are strictly followed by customers.

  • Provide accurate cashier transactions and a balanced cash drawer with minimal errors using a computer based point-of-sales system.

  • Ensure merchandise bins are filled properly and placed onto the sales area following the rotation schedules.

  • Perform quality control and time management to achieve and maximize the highest volume of production.

  • Cross-train in other departments/areas and act as back-up for other areas as required.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be 18 or older.

  • A pre-employment drug screen is required for this position.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • One year retail sales or cash handling experience desired.

  • Accurate with numbers and have an understanding of the value of different coins and money.

  • Able to handle crowd control and enforce Outlet rules and policies.

  • Able to use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.

  • Able to operate a computer based cash register and credit card machine.

  • Able to lift up to 75lbs, use a dolly and pallet jack as required.

  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.

  • Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.

  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers.
