  • Support Packaging Engineers with the development of new packaging structures

  • Benchmark packaging components and packaging processes to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Create and revise packaging specifications, bill of materials and pallet patterns to support manufacturing

  • Understand and support in-house product manufacturing processes

  • Understand and support basic supplier manufacturing processes including plastic molding, flexible materials and secondary carton / corrugate

  • Investigate and report on new packaging materials and technologies that could drive the business.

  • Assist in testing of packaging components

  • Assist in reporting cost saving initiatives for packaging related projects


  • Currently working towards a BS in Package Engineering or related Engineering Field

  • 0 - 1 year related co-op experience

  • Position requires approximately 10% travel

  • Knowledge of packaging (or related) technical procedures commonly used in a laboratory setting

  • Technical and theoretical knowledge of packaging materials and processes

  • Ability to present conclusions and recommendations to management team

  • Good problem solving, attention to detail, and a curiosity-driven enthusiasm for learning on the job
