Sodexo is looking for a Patient Service Manager 2 at New York Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, NY

 

New York Presbyterian is a fast paced 535 bed acute care facility. The Patient Service Manager will focus heavily on emphasis of patient satisfaction and employee recognition. You will be a hands on manager overseeing patient services program which consists of the tray line program,patient rounding , customer service, and building team morale. This is a union account of 50 employees. 

 

The ideal candidate:

The successful candidate will also be involved in the management and training of staff and food quality.  Must have strong customer service skills.

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills as well the ability to work collaboratively
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports.
 


 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
