Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician for CareAllies you will assist in coordinating pharmacy quality initiatives to ensure safe, timely and accurate pharmaceutical services are delivered to customers and providers under the direction and leadership of the team Clinical Program Manager. This position will be a part of the CareAllies health service department and mainly supports our Independent Physician Association (IPA) partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Will both make and take calls from IPA providers and customers
  • Responsible for providing accurate information to IPA providers and customers regarding pharmacy quality initiatives
  • Responsible for updating reports provided by the clinical pharmacy team
  • Work with the pharmacy team to disseminate provider and member communications within established timeframes
  • Assist the pharmacy team by participating in compliance and quality initiatives as they relate to our department
  • Work with other departments to improve results pertaining to the pharmacy quality measures across the multiple lines of business
  • Communicate, collaborate and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have and maintain PTCB Certification
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Previous experience with Medicare Part D preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a pharmacy tech required
  • Experience with managed care pharmacy operating systems preferred
  • Computer literate with proficiency in word, excel & power point
  • Typing ability 40+ WPM preferred
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and deliver project results within a specific timeframe
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods
  • Bilingual speaker, Spanish, strongly preferred
