**Business Overview**

Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS) serves the core financial needs of individual clients and plan participants by providing best in class, integrated products in the most intuitive, efficient and client friendly way while maintaining a forward thinking mindset and risk management focus. RPWS is responsible for both the institutional and personal retirement capability set to include 401(k), Equity and Health Benefit plans for companies of all sizes as well as college savings, personal retirement planning, retirement income, insurance and estate planning for individuals. RPWS also provides tools and content that enables advisors and bankers to help their clients live their best financial lives.

**Job Description**

Create educational and marketing content for participants in 401(k), equity award, nonqualified and other plans promoting the benefits of participation and the services available through clients plans. Develop material designed to educate plan participants on a variety of saving, investing and other topics.

Assure that all materials use correct grammar and proper English.

The Writer/Editor is responsible for creating communications and education materials/collateral to promote products and services offered to participants by Merrill. Write/edit communications to educate plan participants about financial wellness in the context of the 7 life priorities theme (home, family, health, work, leisure, giving and finances). Ensure that all communications maintain consistency with and promote Retirement & Benefits Plan Services

value proposition and strategy.

The Retirement Client Experience & Communications team is experiencing an extremely high volume of communication requests. Continued growth is forecast and the strong focus on financial wellness directly impacts the need for quick response to content demands. The candidate will help us execute on these communications and enable us to meet the deliverables under tight time frames.

Complexity of Decisions

Translate complex topics into user-friendly communications

Juggle numerous projects simultaneously and provide back-up support to other editors

Handle projects from the outset coordinating with project managers and Communications Consultants to manage project deliverables to agreed-upon timelines

Write and edit copy and review design to ensure that content is incorporated properly


Bachelors degree

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

Superior organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail

Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint

Proven effectiveness in fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment.

Experience and/or background in marketing and/or financial services/retirement industry.

Must be able to work in a team environment

Client relationship experience a plus

Familiarity with automated content production systems.

**Core Knowledge Requirements**

College degree,

Excellent writing and editing skills.

Marketing or financial services experience preferred

Thrive in a team environment

Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Proven effectiveness in a fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment
