We are seeking a Plant Accountant for our Color-Box Packaging Facility in Richmond, IN. Located in the beautiful flatlands of eastern Indiana, Richmond is in Wayne County and has twice been awarded as an All-America City. Richmond is only 51 miles from Cincinnati OH and boasts 4 colleges and 2 seminaries, as well as many other opportunities for cultural and recreational enrichment.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:





The Plant Accountant position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties and will allow the incumbent to gain experience, which will allow for advancement to positions of greater responsibility and technical ability throughout the company.




Fiduciary Responsibilities:
Internal financial control responsibility
Inventory Management
Inventory Valuation
Assist with month-end closing
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Monthly ad hoc reporting
Support of centralized accounting teams







What you will Need:





Education:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting,Finance or Business


Basic Requirements:



  • At least 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience

  • Basic understanding of a General Ledger and Cost Accounting principles

  • Conceptual understanding of the design and purpose of internal controls

  • Aptitude and desire for learning new systems and improving processes through automation

  • Experience withMicrosoft Office Suite, including Excel (i.e. - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formulas creation etc.) PowerPoint (presentation creation and editing) and MS Word (document creation, formatting and editing etc.)



Knowledge Skills - Abilities:



  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong customer focus with analytical, financial, and economic thinking skills

  • Highly motivated, proactive, willingness to engage and partner

  • Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

  • Proven initiative and willingness to drive change, with a focus on innovation, process improvement and solvingproblems

  • Basic self-awareness and an understanding of how personal behavior impacts others





What Will Put You Ahead?




Preferred Qualifications:





  • Accounting coursework that includes Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting highly desired

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in Accounting Coursework

  • Inventory management experience

  • Experience as an accountant or analyst in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience in Public Accounting or Large Company Corporate Accounting
