A Day in the Life

Are you a passionate, dedicated and a motivated Senior Sales Enablement Specialist looking for a new challenge? The Senior Sales Enablement Specialist will be focused on the technology that automates the proposal generation and contract agreement processes for the configuration and implementation of customized solutions within the Conga (fka Apttus) platform of Configure Price Quote (CPQ) tool, which is fully integrated with SalesForce.com.

The Senior Sales Enablement Specialist will work closely with the IT and the support teams to provide resolution on issues that are raised by the field and assist with project enhancements.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure issues are resolved.
    Develop an understanding of the field sales contracting mechanisms and templates, and how field sales reps use tools to prepare contracts and amendments.
  • Create fields, page layouts, workflows, field updates, record types and visual force pages in SFDC.
  • Create and modify contract templates using Apttus X-Author CLM.
  • Set up complex bundles and product configurations to meet business requirements.
  • Modify profile and permission set access, as needed. Utilize SFDC Administrator skills to continuously deliver business solutions while maintaining existing functionality in a complex, global Salesforce org
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Sales/Marketing, and internal IT groups to define and implement technical solutions
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the SFDC core application architecture, as well as integrated applications such as Conga CPQ, Docusign, and SAP
  • Collaborate with global team to share best practices and avoid redundant effort
  • Analyze and help resolve system issues; recommend/implement timely solutions
  • Develop strong business acumen, including an understanding of Medtronic products, markets, competitors, customers, and business processes

This position will offer direct exposure to our core business with a focus on turning requirements into scalable tools and applications. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of Conga/Apttus Salesforce.com experience with a track record of developing solutions within a complex global organization. Administrator and Developer Certifications in Conga/Apttus and Salesforce.com along with additional experience with Salesforce Lightning, Conga/APTTUS Configure-Price-Quote, Visualforce pages, Apex programming, and JDE/SAP ERP systems is preferred.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience developing and implementing Conga/Apttus CPQ in a Salesforce.com environment; demonstrated experience in developing custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and declarative automation,
  • Or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience developing and implementing Conga/Apttus CPQ in a Salesforce.com environment; demonstrated experience in developing custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and declarative automation.

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce.com Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification.
  • Platform App Builder certification.
  • Platform Developer I certification.
  • Conga/Apttus Certification.
  • Experience configuring Salesforce Lightning.
  • Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills.
  • Audit/Sarbanes Oxley requirements knowledge.
  • Proven track record of attaining organizational and personal objectives.
  • Experience in a fast-paced call center environment required.
  • Conga/Apttus Certification and SFDC Administrator Certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with SF1 mobile configuration, Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and Data Loader a plus
  • Strong project management skills and experience, and the ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge & experience with Agile/SCRUM Methodology
  • Previous work experience within the Life Sciences sector preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Adaptable team player with the ability to work with all functional areas.
  • Proficient with Conga/Apttus.
  • Proficient SalesForce.com.
  • Accurate, detailed and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency.

  • Advanced understanding of databases and how to analyze and ETL data using Workbench, Dataloader.io, Apex Data Loader, Excel
  • Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff, and executive management
  • Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible with a demonstrated ability to embrace change
