Position can be based onsite in New Haven, CT; Boulder, CO or Mansfield, MA.

In this exciting position you will partner with MITG Strategy and Finance teams across all MITG businesses. You will present analysis and insights to Vice President of FP&A, CFO and business partners and collaborate with BUs to understand BU R&D metrics and aggregate MITG metrics as well as develop ways to optimize data collection supporting metrics. You will engage in special project work related to material group level portfolio management, evaluate organic and inorganic business investment portfolio decisions, and develop/prepare reports, analysis and executive level presentation materials for senior management.

    A Day in the Life

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

    • Performs and analyzes complex financial modeling, economic analysis and trends related to MITG P&L, free cash flow and Intrinsic Value at BU and lower level as required

    • Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to articulate insights with business partners

    • Develop decision support analytics for MITG leadership to optimize resource allocation based on financial metrics and analysis

    • Partner with BD&L team to monitor closed deal performance and model the impact of potential deals on MITG forecasts

    • Develop/prepare reports, analysis and executive level presentation materials for senior management and other stakeholders related to business performance and projections

    • Work with large financial data sets and organize/analyze to drive insightful findings for the senior leadership team

    • Facilitate annual strategic planning process with the BUs and regions

    • Serve and participate as key financial lead on multi-functional projects that require a high level of financial and business acumen

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (5+ years with an Advanced degree)

    Nice to Have

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 5+ years varied experience in accounting and or finance with increasing level of responsibilities; 3+ years of experience with Advanced degree
    • Experience preparing executive level presentations in MS PowerPoint (advance or expert level)
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment under strict timelines
    • Extensive financial modeling experience (advance/expert level MS Excel)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Flexible, friendly, team-oriented disposition that thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong results orientation and bias for action, including a high degree of initiative and self-motivation in understanding business needs and leading others to meet those needs
    • Systems savvy with strong knowledge of MDT financial systems (e.g., CMR, Spend)
    • MBA, CFA or other professional credentials preferred
    • Demonstrated ability and success working with minimal supervision, including flexibility to changing priorities in a proactive and self-motivated manner
    • Comfort with ambiguous project goals but with the intellectual curiosity and persistence to pursue an analysis, wherever it might lead
